Microsoft launches its Canva rival, "Designer"


Microsoft is launching a simple graphic design app called Designer that will be available for free and as part of Office productivity software subscriptions, the company said last week. The new app is perhaps in response to Canva going after core parts of Office - last year the Sydney-based design app introduced an alternative to PowerPoint and also released a tool to edit documents, challenging Word.
